True, human dynamics and personalities can have a huge impact, I.e. the
foreman can end up being a foreman in name only.
I've seen any number of managers who had the title, with someone else
was doing the job, and making the decisions. Even when the manager has
control, decisions he/she doesn't like can be pushed through.
In the Samsung/Apple jury Hogan appears to have stepped out of line,
based on his statements. But how much do you trust his statements? He
seems the sort to boast about his abilities. Maybe he overstated the impact
he had. Maybe I'm reading him wrong, and he under-stated his impact.
We need to now more of how the rest of the jury viewed things.
As to Iowa, we know even less. I have some theories as to what might
have happened. But those theories fall into the "Wild Assed Guess"
category, rather than anything based on evidence.
