Samsung's factories are Samsung's responsibility not Apple's. If Samsung
couldn't provide the services requested while maintaining a safe environment,
they shouldn't have agreed to provide them in the first place. Apple meanwhile
had no way or responsibility to know about such problems in it's
supplier/competitor's factories. This isn't like their situation with Foxconn
where it is publically known they have of history of, and still do, mistreat
there workers.
It is also important to remember that Samsung isn't all good, while certainly on
the right side in this case from our point of view. Just search "Samsung
China" for some fairly recent examples.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

From your point of view, the fault falls on the consumer, for buying the
product and not making sure that Samsung used safe manufacturing
methods.
