It's Free Trade's Fault.

We don't have true free trade. What we have are doorways which ipids, ipads,
ipods, i-etc. can pass through. If we had true free trade the only barriers
would be transportation costs and time restraints that would support labor
differences. You could ship your shirt to China to get it laundered but time and
shipping costs make it easier to ship the Chinese shirt laborer to your home
Chinatown. When there are barriers to immigration, finance, and technology by
political decree or even mountain ranges then you get two labor markets.
Of course, the Chinaman is getting screwed over twice because his cheap labor
is also paying for China's industrialization by paying for industrial parks,
bridges, sewer,water, whatever.
