Look, most of what this Anonymous guy said was wrong (i.e. I disagree with it)
- but you should know that Samsung *IS* working on other OSes.
Besides Win8, they have not one but two alternate OSes: Bada and Tizen. Bada
has seen decent traction in Asia - in fact, in terms of market share, Bada is
the
4th OS (after Android, iOS, Blackberry; Symbian is still 5th, and Windows is
6th!).
And Tizen, while very new, has its chances: it's the evolution of Meego (which
was foolishly dumped by Elop/Nokia), and it has Intel's full support. I wouldn't
write it out. If there is going to be a "third ecosystem", Tizen and
BB (QNX) have
both a much better chance than Windows.
That being said - competition is good. It'a actually great that Samsung is
working on other OSes - I wouldn't want Google to rest on its laurels.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
