There's GPL code in Mac OSX, yes.

Nothing statically linked AFAIK. Maybe modified, but distributed according to the rules. MacOS-X versions 10.0 thru 10.2 specified only APSL and Other as the licenses for included projects. With 10.3 the particular license was listed for each, and 10.3.0 contains 43 GPL components, from IOPCCardFamily-38 to texinfo-9. The newest version, 10.8.2 has 32 which is consistent with other reports that they are reducing their dependence on GPLed projects. Even iOS 6.0 still contains gdb-1822 and libstdcxx-56.

The MacOS filesystem and command structure are based on BSD with a mach-O kernel, but that doesn't stop Posix compliant GPL projects being compiled and run. Note from the first link below you can download the open source parts. A random one I chose, Libcpp_kext-8 contains a copy of GPL-v.2, and various files in it have FSF Copyright boilerplate.
