The Samba Team are heroes.
I once posted what I thought was a simple problem to the Samba email list and
got an actual phone call from one of the members of the Samba team who just
happened to located a mere 175 miles away. He talked me through my issues. That
install is working just fine to this day.

Great guys, great achievement. Proud to have brought a little help (as PJ very
kindly acknowledged), although I share all the credits for facilitating on the
legal side with the boys at FSFE and with one of the finest lawyers around, Mr.
Eben Moglen, who took the heavy burden of closing the agreement with Microsoft

This is a very important step forward. I'm a long way from mastering SAMBA yet
but I've been watching its progress and willing them on for a long time now. The
team has done outstanding work and the support from the lawyers achieving the
deal with MS also deserves great credit. Thanks to them all and good wishes for
the future.
Oh and if I understand the full implications correctly and for the tiresome
Windows Phone and tablet fanboi's out there your biggest argument, enterprise
connections and security, just flew out of the window. Provided Android and iOS
take full advantage of this.
