True but that does not mean all OS changes are created
equal.
There is the feature set, and how useful new features are.
Then there is implementation, and how well executed any
particular feature is to use.
I'm positive that a lot of the changes we have seen lately
are change for change sake.
Or change for almost religious reasons, where some
pseudoscience User Interface guide is the All-Holy.
