I'm wondering if the video drivers for this would be of acceptable quality...

Expand the name:

Penguin Pod.

I think that's what they were going for.

Side question: Do penguins travel in pods or flocks?

What is your definition of "good"?
According to specs, it will be a very average cheap tablet:
- arm A8 single core proc (iphone4 equivalent)
- 8GB FLASH
- crappy screen with low resolution

You can already buy such chinese tablet running android at similar prices
or less. Running Linux on them will be more painful than powerful (phone
CPU).

Amazon.ca currently has the Le Pan tablet for $109 running
Android 2.02 which is popular with the welfare single mother
crowd here in Canada's rainforest. I ordered the Le Pan II
for Christmas, it's $179.
