Rubbish. Legend and smoke.
It was certainly common for Celtic clans to swap children and for children to be
shipped off to convents and monasteries, but Picts, Britons, Scoti, and Gael
(Irish) were all Celtic people and the languages share a common root. Scottish
won out in the lands now called Scotland because they came out on top and the
Picts ceased to exist a nation. Simple as that. Not due to some weird twisted
Fairy Tale. If you bring up Pictish Princess I may have to go thermonuclear war
on you. ;')
There is reason to believe the Books of Kells is a Pictish work. Just to add
fuel to the fire for discussion. I neither support nor oppose that view. Sadly,
I was less than 100 feet from the book, not long ago, but didn't get a chance to
see it. Very disappointing.
