Label it something like PoIR's Essays on Software Patents.

Here is a list of PolR's previous articles!

On the previous story, I posted this comment. I've added today's article to the list. (If any are missing, someone please post a link to them also!)

***

I used the Search function to find the previous articles written by PolR about software patents and the "software is math" argument. There are more of them than I remembered, and I was surprised that the early ones are from back in 2009! Its amazing how time flies.

Anyways, for newer readers who haven't seen these, or older readers who want to go back and re-read the material... here is the list (newest to oldest):

Nov 29 2012 (this article) - What Does "Software Is Mathematics" Mean? Part 2: A Semiotics Approach to the Patent Eligibility of Software
Oct 13 2012 - What Does "Software Is Mathematics" Mean? Part 1 - Software Is Manipulation of Symbols
Jul 19 2012 - Does Programmi ng a Computer Make A New Machine?
Oct 05 2011 - Software Is Mathematics - The Need for Due Diligence
Sep 08 2011 - A Simpler Explanation of Why Software is Mathematics
Apr 26 2011 - 1 + 1 (pat. pending) — Mathematics, Software and Free Speech
Oct 07 2010 - Why Software is Abstract
Sep 26 2010 - An Open Response to the USPTO -- Physical Aspects of Mathematics
Nov 11 2009 - An Explanation of Computation Theory for Lawyers
Oct 31 2009 - Correcting Mic rosoft's Bilski Amicus Brief -- How Do Computers Really Work?

PJ - can we have a permanent PolR section in the sidebar?
Authored by: PJ on Thursday, November 29 2012 @ 09:13 PM EST
I did one, but maybe I goofed by calling
it Software Patents and including other
articles on the topic. I can change that
if you think the PolR handle needs to be
more prominent.
