If you want to take that attitude, how do you know that the world exists?
It could just be a big VR simulation being played on your nerves.

The PINNACLE of scientific reasoning is a theory, as in "we haven't been
able to prove it wrong yet".
Maths can go further - it can convert theories into theorems - as in "we've
proved it correct, but have no idea whatsoever whether it has any relevance to
the real world or not".
In no case EVER has science ever been proven right. It just can't be done.
