But how is Google supposed to know what is
true on all topics in the world?

Was anyone else who relayed the link charged?
Google doesn't randomly give out links you have to provide search terms, and
someone else has to have those terms on a web page they created.
Unless the creator used the <defamation> tags when they posted the page
there is know way for a spider to know.
