Mankind would benefit greatly from Global Warming
Authored by: eric76 on Sunday, November 25 2012 @ 05:38 AM EST

A sudden rise of sealevel by maybe even just one foot could bring disaster to the heavily populated coastal regions of many countries. How is the US going to cope with millions of refugees flooding inward from the coast? Europe? India?

A sudden rise of sealevel by "even just one foot"? Do you think that one morning you'll wake up and sea level has come up a foot? It isn't going to happen. The only place that the ice will melt fast enough to bring sea level up a foot in a short period of time is on Hollywood movie sets.

Figure about fifty to a hundred years to see sea level rise a foot. Any worries about a much faster rise is nothing more than naked panic by those who have no ability to think for themselves.
