Considering PJ's preaching of good journalism (which I wholeheartedly agree with), I thought this story here gives a good example of when sources aren't checked.

It will be very interesting to see what uses people find for it.

Meanwhile it seems that Farnell will have the Gertboard available again soon, but ready built. I am guessing that packing kits of numerous parts was proving to be far too labour intensive, whereas an automated production line just does what it is programmed to do, with minimum attention, so it it actually much easier to supply completed boards than kits.

4000 a day, plus more from China. That is very serious production for such a device. I doubt that any other small computer board has ever been made in such quantities. Consumer goods such as phones, M$ Kin excepted, are of course made in larger quantities.

During the 1980's, defence contractors developed AR for fighter pilots and the like. So what is new in all this?
