Tizen as middle ware
Authored by: squib on Wednesday, November 21 2012 @ 09:43 AM EST
To be clearer. Tizen itself is a Linux OS but third party apps developers
will be obviously choosing the HMTL5 environment if and when it offers the best
option. Likewise, an app developed on Windoz running HMTL5 will be able to run
on Tizen, Android and Apple too at some point in the future.
The Tizen OS from what I gather should also be able run on any Android device.
A lot of work still needs to be done. I wait with interest to see how it
develops and how it affects the market share of the existing ecosystem over the
same time period that it took Android. Someone probably said to Henry Ford “Why
do you want to build cars? There are already loads of people making cars already
– what chance do you think you have of competing with them?”

So it's using HTML5 as an alternative to Dalvik et al?
