I am not sure that it is appropriate to discuss this here, as this thread is usually reserved for just posting transcripts, but I don't know where else it should go.

I find that very amusing, considering the horrendous problems with M$ Lan Manager and other of their products of that era, and continuing problems even now. Behind the entire email can be seem a strong, almost paranoid fear of Unix, well founded, as *nix (Apple's BSD derivative plus Linux) is now the dominant OS, thanks mostly to phones and tablets.
