IIRC your Windows EULA gives you the right to one reinstall.

Put linux on it, and install WINE.
If they need something that doesn't work on WINE, talk to them about security
and stability requirements.
My persoinal take on that sort of thing is "I don't care what you do with
*your* computer, but I won't support Windows or Mac. Enjoy installing Windows
if you really want it, because the first thing I do to any computer coming into
