Can he be charged ?

First he has to be found to have deliberately lied. I don't think there would be
any problem with this given his public statements.

Second his lie has to be found to be material ( relevant ). If they determine
his lie was enough to constitute jury misconduct, then no problem.

Of course, the state has to bring the charge. I think they won't but they
should. No jail time but court costs. No lawyers fees ( what they did in the
first trial they mostly would have done anyway ).

I don't think we will havfe to worry about Veltman serving on another jury. He
will have to admit to this mess next time in voir dire. If he doesn't then I
think he will definitely have to serve jail time then.
