My new laptop is a Samsung

"I generally prefer to buy American"

Samsung may employ more Americans than Apple does, just for your information.

Google just released the Nexus 7 with 3g. Don't dish it
because it's 7"! I have one, and I find it's an excellent
device. Other than that, I've hear that Asus has released 4G
tablets in Europe (not sure about the US though, as you
actually need custom firmware to access CDMA networks, while
GSM networks just need a SIM and an unlocked device). Oh, and
there's the Padphone (AFAIK it's also GSM only).

Goodwill and the Salvation Army accept used electronics here. I live in
Michigan, USA. So your mileage may vary, but do check with them. It may be a
tax write off, so something else to consider. Another would be a church fund
raiser. Just some ideas to avoid the skeet shooting event.

Nexus 10 + phone solves the problem
Authored by: Anonymous on Tuesday, November 20 2012 @ 08:09 PM EST
Enable tethering on your phone, and buy a Nexus 10. There is almost no place
where one uses a tablet where one doesn't have a phone. The only downside is
that the phone uses a lot of power when providing a local hotspot.

I switched from Nokia, that I have used for many years and many phones, to
Samsung Ace. Pleased to discover that it happily plays .OGG files. I may need to
buy a small hi-fi and Samsung is high on the list.

My new laptop is a Samsung

And my just-ordered new tablet is a Google Nexus 10. I had been considering an
iPad, but couldn't bring myself to face either the feeling of supporting the
dark side, or of facing the arrogant and condescending Geniuses in the stores.
