Same here. New Samsung phone, new MP3 player so that I could retire my failing
iPod. I specifically want to buy Samsung just to spite Apple, even though I
generally prefer to buy American when I can. It certainly doesn't hurt that
Samsung is a great product either.
Next I want to retire my perfectly good
iPad so I am not seen by my coworkers as advertising *anything* Apple. But I
can't find a high-end Android tablet with both cellular & WiFi service, like
my iPad has. I would not hesitate to buy the Galaxy TAB, but it has no cellular.
Any advise?
In the mean time I'm just placing a Not! sticker (red circle
with the red bar through it) over the iPad's embedded Apple logo, and another
full not-apple-logo sticker on the top cover, just to make it perfectly obvious
that I am ANTI-Apple even though I am stuck using one for now. I'm really
looking forward to getting rid of this last Apple tainted product despite it
being a perfectly good machine. So much so that I often day-dream about video
taping a skeet shooing of it, just see how well it flies, and then posting it on
Youtube. But then my better senses kick in, as I would never do that to the
environment. I guess it will just have to join my ancient Sony equipment, and
instead gather dust until I find a need to brush it off again in an emergency. I
hate carrying this thing around.
