Microsoft wants to denigrate your iPhone and Android again
Authored by: Anonymous on Tuesday, November 20 2012 @ 07:18 AM EST
IIRC, last time it was totally ios focused, and they concentrated on things they
thought you needed special apps for.

My favorite story was from the Android user whose challenge was to
simultaneously display the weather in two locations. She happen to have the
weather in two locations displayed on her home screen. So, she hit the wake
button and shouted done while the MS employee was still trying to wake up the
Windows phone.

MS initially refused to give anyone the prizes because they had thought the
contest was rigged so well they wouldn't have to. After a ton of bad press, MS
corporate stepped in and started actually giving prizes.

I watched the video, and my thought was "you'd better have a cheap data
plan". Click a name in your contacts and it pulls down their facebook
profile and photos!

I'm having fun with a Nokia E71 I picked up this weekend for $3. It's one of
the last Symbian phones. It's been able to replace my tablet. It works great
on wifi. And for the price the new Lumina can't compete, unless they pay me.
