Window 8
Authored by: kawabago on Tuesday, November 20 2012 @ 02:44 AM EST
Apparently the new UI has only one window. To compete with
the rise of Android, Microsoft redesigns Windows 3.0, taking
out the plural and adding a nice 'click' sound to the
surface. Sure, that will sell!

The cheapest way to get a new computer!
Authored by: Anonymous on Tuesday, November 20 2012 @ 02:48 AM EST
I hear people at work complaining all the time as to how slow their work
computers are.

Then I point out to them that their shiny laptop has a 2.4Ghz Core i5 CPU, 4GB
of RAM, a huge HDD, and generally higher specs than my 5-year-old gaming PC at
home, on which I play a number of very recent games.

A lot of the problem at work is the standard operating environment - whatever
standard software & processes are running the background, they seem to slow
everything down enormously.
