This is why I'm still a bit wary of open source business models (then again it's
pretty obviously working out for red hat I guess?) - how do you get around stuff
like this? What Oracle were (this seems a little different) doing was downright
parasitic, but they're also free to do exactly that.

Aside from making angry noises and obfuscating patches (which is a terrible
outcome), what can you do?

Which was pretty dumb in my opinion. It's hard to see how this added value
for the users.
