I worked for a CEO like that once
Authored by: artp on Monday, November 12 2012 @ 12:10 PM EST
He brought me and my boss (CFO) into his office to chew me
out. I made the mistake of using active listening skills so
I would understand what he wanted. He went ballistic, got
all twitchy, then went to a corner, sat down and turned away
from us, and I swear he sulked.

Strange guy. His nickname among management was "the Pit
Bull", because if he started chewing on you, the only way to
get him off was to get him chewing on somebody else. I
always thought it was amusing to let him chew and see how
mad he could get. He really didn't like that.

Management turnover was on track for 50% that year, but I
didn't stick around to see out the year. It was the only
place I didn't give notice, because you ended up a martyr
after you gave notice. I had lots of examples to watch.
