I have a 1600x1200 display; the tallest "conventional" screen, from the 4x3
era, and significantly taller than 1080p.
With my Firefox window as tall as
it can be without maximizing it to fill the screen, the apple.co.uk page comes
up at just exactly the right size to put the Samsung notice--and
nothing else--off the bottom of the display.
If I maximize the browser
window, I can see the upper half of the top line of the notice. So pay
attention, Apple--you need to add about ten more pixels to make absolutely

When I go to apple.com, I don't see it at all, even when

FWIW Apple in their global redistribution of the resizing code,
have now added it to IN for the iPhone 5. India, along with
the other BRICS did not previously have it.
For most countries the default main picture on the home page
is 658 pixels high and the first (sometimes only) line of
navigation text links is clearly visible on my 1080px display.
www.apple.co.uk is currently serving a random selection
of either iPad Mini, or iPad Retina, each having above it a picture
of some text. The total height for these is 574 or 628 pixels,
measured on my screen.
But wait I hear you say, that's less than those other countries...
Indeed it is, so just to make sure your pictures don't look smaller
Apple has added space above and below the main picture.
If you get served an iPad Mini ad the first line of navigation
text links might be visible if your monitor and browser window
are like mine. If you get served an iPad Retina ad the bottom
of the row of picture icons just clears the bottom of the
screen, no visible text, no incentive to scroll ...
