NASA testing 'interplanetary Internet'

Typical of the NASA male dominated cohort, to publish a
photo of "Suni" when she's obviously having a bad-hair-day!

Apple loses bid to nix patent troll's 'screen rotation' suit
Authored by: norahc on Saturday, November 10 2012 @ 09:40 PM EST
So Apple believes it owns the patent on a rectangle with rounded corners
despite prior art going back to the beginning of time, but thinks it is
exempt from a screen rotation patent because of prior art?

Goose, meet gander.

iTunes rankings widely gamed
Authored by: papafox on Sunday, November 11 2012 @ 02:06 AM EST

Sorry if this is a little off-topic for most Groklawyers, but since iTunes is a major part of internet ecommerce it may be of interest.

iTunes rankings are being widely gamed by Chinese groups using 'shuabang'. In China, creating an iTunes account does not require a credit card. This has allowed groups to crowd-source iTunes rankings by 'fake' downloads and reviews. Apple appears to be either uninterested in this problem, or perhaps they are unable to effectively respond.

Shuabang groups offer an iTunes top-10 ranking for around $10k and a top-100 ranking for $1.5k.
