Anti-competitive behaviour SHOULD be illegal ...
Authored by: Wol on Sunday, November 11 2012 @ 11:57 AM EST
The whole point of a free and fair market is that there should be competition.
Any actions which are taken with the intent of preventing competition should not
be allowed.

Okay, I know the act of competing can drive companies out of the market, and
thus reduce competition, but that's not anticompetitive - that's just life.

But actively targeting a competitor for destruction, or actively seeking to
block other companies from a market, should not be okay.

Cheers,
Wol

Google's review by FTC nearing critical point
Authored by: Tim on Sunday, November 11 2012 @ 11:03 PM EST
True, but I hope that my post shed light on how Google's near monopoly on search allows then to move into the mobile. OS and mail space, else why Android? Maybe I am just cynical and they are really nice people who want to selflessly help us.
