Flat earth
Authored by: argee on Friday, November 09 2012 @ 07:02 PM EST
You know, I was at the local cafe, and I proposed to the
boys there that they could not prove to me that the earth
was nothing but flat.

-- Sure, go on a spaceship and you can see it's round."

-- "OK," I answered, "Lets go to Kennedy and you can buy
me a Space Shuttle ticket." That finished THAT argument.

-- "Well, you can ship a see go over the horizon getting
smaller and lower."

-- My answer: "It's all difraction. Look out the window,
that island out there ... it looks like its levitated in
the air. Different days, or locations, different
defraction."

Etc etc. This was all a big joke, but in the end everyone
was getting pretty discouraged because NO ONE could prove
to me that the earth was a globe. Of course, today we
are more enlightened, but when it comes to some of these
Apple vs World religious wars, it happens that not everyone
takes the dogma for granted.

I am sure Apple apologists will nod their head at everything
they say out of Cupertino. The rest of us just don't want
to be bothered/snowed.
