That wasn't my point. These are publicly listed companies.
Their primary job is to generate profits for their
shareholders. Its like asking a drug company to spend a
billion dollars in research for a new drug and then give I
way. It is worse actually because lives are not at stake.

I'm more in favour of no software patents than I am for no
frand patents. (Free frand essentially means the same thing)

The actual wireless patents are protocol and hardware based
than they are software based so much more significant than
pinch to zoom or most of Microsoft's patents.
