Which means they need to have a viable alternative.

I only use windows for gaming now, and would be delighted
if I didn't need to anymore. Would be great to see Steam
drive new Linux adoption. Perhaps they could even make their
own distro to make it easy for non techies to get it up and
running for games as simply as a console, and then lead to
people using it for other purposes.
