it means "agree to be bound"

I think it means, Motorola would agree (now) to be bound to the result the court
comes up with.

Kind of ironic, considering Apple's "we reserve the right to ignore your
ruling if we think its too high" position.

Agreement is a voluntary act ...

Gringo points out ...
"... ,but you can't make them agree.
Agreement by its very nature is a voluntary act."

Well said.
This is why I often find a certain posters sig irksome.
The sig is something like ... "agree".

Practically every time I come across it,
the thought runs through my mind ...
"I'll decide for myself if I agree or not!
Tenk-you-veddy-much."

Their explicit admonition just rubs me the wrong way.
And it is entirely possible they don't even realize
what effect on others their sig may have.

I couldn't tell you if I usually agree or not,
I just make up my mind fresh each time.
