Surely to protect East Berlin from the invasion of the
evil westerners.

Until one day 'Wir sind das Volk' happened.

A Remake of AOL HELL is Most Likely On the Way!
Authored by: Anonymous on Tuesday, November 06 2012 @ 10:04 AM EST
Remember how users being used felt all comfy and cozy in
Compuserve and AOL's Garden Walled Prison Farms? Kind of
like Sheep being guarded by the Wolf for his own dining
pleasure or like Sharks herding BAIT FISH..... to make ONE
BIG BITE of them seem like a ONE BIG FISH... called a BAIT
BALL!

Easy pickings when you got your customers all surrounded in
what they think is protection from the monsters outside.
But a few always try to explore or end up by accident
outside the pearly gates saying, "hey this ain't so bad out
here after all". Yeah... they just found out that what had
sold to them as "For Your Own Protection" Garden Walled
environment, was actually more like a prison.

While inside those Garden Walled Communities... they
actually had more FREEDOM and much greater CHOICE. But....
the number one thing that killed AOL and Compuserve as well
as others is that they were actually more expensive, than
just signing up with an Open Carrier, that wasn't always
spying on them and didn't try to prevent them from going
any place they wanted. People found they could go to places
like ebay and amazon where they could find better bargains
on merchandise and software, that they were paying double
for in these communities and those Walls came tumbling down
as customers fled these so called Garden walled communities.

Remember AT&T and Verizon especially had their form of
Garden Walled Carrier Services too. Qualcomm with BREW
provided an Mobile OS where these carriers held their
customers inside Garden Walls like Sharks Bait Balling
FOOD. You could only buy services and Java Apps from the
Carrier's Store. Carriers reigned supreme and phone makers
kowtowed with locked devices on CDMA or restricted use
Carrier owned bandwidth. Apple changed all that, by
becoming the first phone maker not bowing to the control of
the carriers, by in fact simply creating their own form of
Garden Walled OS!

At one time it was thought Jail Breaking would halt the
migration into Apple's Garden Walled BAIT BALL! ....but
apparently it's customers are about numb and dumb as a
Shark's BAIT Balling FISH! ;-P

But finally we are beginning to see an inkling of
intelligence and many are heading out for the more OPEN
WATERS of ANDROID. As Samsung is proving by single handedly
out selling every single model of iPhone with just Galaxy
SIII sales now over 30 Million in just over 5 months Out
Selling iPhone 4, 4s and 5 in the last quarter!

Android broke 500 Million Activations (that's guaranteed
sold) recently and are projected to break 1 Billion by the
end of next year. No wonder Apple and Microsoft are SCARED
TO DEATH of GOOGLE!!! ......and with now 75% Android has
become Ubiquitous with Smartphones, while Apple is hovering
around 17% totally market share. Because they aren't
getting new buyers. Only keeping their sheep locked in
those Garden Walls! ^_*
