The way I see it, is, Android doesn't need rectangle with
round corners to have a working phone, but apple needs the
frand patents otherwise their rectangular device with round
corners is a paper weight, or maybe an MP3 player as it
first started out.

Assuming they're trying to take care of their licensees.

Android is outselling iOS on phones by 5 to 1. And that's only going up.
