FTC planning to Sue Google for FRAND Patent abuse
Authored by: Anonymous on Monday, November 05 2012 @ 08:49 AM EST
(1) The trial proceed as planned starting tomorrow with the understanding that the Court will set a FRAND rate according to a methodology that both Apple and Motorola will agree to be bound by, thus effectively eliminating the disputes between the parties as to their standard essential patents;
But why would Motorola agree to such a thing?

With all those claiming the FTC is planning to go after Google - Evidence Please!
Authored by: Anonymous on Monday, November 05 2012 @ 01:22 PM EST

Note: I do not expect the evidence from Tim. I expect it from those making the claims against Google!

Personally: I'd like to see their evidence beyond the heresay they are presenting.

When the FTC does initiate something against Google, then I'll consider the "future predictions" to maybe have been more then wishful thinking.

For example:

Google had been trying to use their FRAND patents, gained by purchasing Motorola, to try and block imports by Microsoft and Apple into USA.
If true - all they have to do is point to the appropriate Lawsuits where that is ocurring. Where:
    A: Motorola initiated such action after Google took over ownership!
    B: The action truly was initiated by Motorola, not as a respose to action initiated by a third party (such as Apple)!
    C: Where the other party involved has not initiated such harmful requests themselves in which Motorola isn't simply responding to defend themselves!
After all: If Google really has done as claimed, there should be some Lawsuit that can be pointed to as evidence.... right?

And if no Lawsuit can be pointed to: then the evidence of the claim doesn't exist and therefore the claim is deliberately false!

Bloomberg: If you don't wish to provide evidence to back the claim then you should ask yourself why you're so very willing to print FUD!!!

Main Media: You really want to know why a lot of us don't trust you? Look at your willingness to present FUD without any kind of evidence backing it just so you can make a little more profit!!!
