First, you aspire to be the Dictator of the USA, then
you advertise that you are going to summarily execute
people.

They send people like you to Guantamo!

Allen v. World - The Fight Over Claim Construction

If you are dictator for life, you need not shoot anyone. Just scrap patent law.
Simple, clean and nobody gets hurt.

Allen v. World - The Fight Over Claim Construction
Authored by: Anonymous on Tuesday, October 30 2012 @ 03:47 PM EDT
I dunno, I've been thinking about this.

I'm no fan of software patents, but the original purpose of patents in general was to protect the small inventor. You discover something working in your garage/lab/back yard and for a (then) nominal fee you can be assured that a) you'll get credit, and b) some big company can't just steal your idea and make tons of money off it because they already have backing and infrastructure and it's your word against theirs.

What went wrong was that the cost of litigation has skyrocketed. You can be right as rain but not be able to afford to present that argument to anybody. The big companies just need to threaten to challenge your patent and you may not be able to defend it. Worse, a big company with a patent can threaten to use it to make you back away from an idea you have simply because you don't have the resources to say "no you don't; this is different."

I applaud the idea of not having big companies run roughshod over the little guy, but somewhere along the line they managed to do that anyway. Is the "little guy" a myth these days, and all we should worry about is getting behemoths to turn their dollars in a more functional direction? Would shooting all the patent attorneys really fix the problem, or just provide some instant gratification?

You would line all of the patent attorneys up against
the wall and give them a bonus. No fooling.

When an individual or a group of like thinkers believe
they run the world, they definitely would want
to reward others that stupidly help them maintain control.

You are being MICROattacked, from various angles, in a SOFT manner.

The problem is that the political system in the United States is suffering
from a case of regulatory capture, and until you fix that, you can't fix
anything else.
