The newspick article called it "pretty".

Similarly, many news articles call the Windows Metro interface "gorgeous".

Brings to my mind what I've always said... mankind went to the moon and back on 1960's technology, but it seems we can't make a computer* now that will run 48 hours without crashing.

* At least not one based on Windows...

One would hope that the control protocol allows for
the use of entirely different computers in 5 years.
Retrofitting new computers should not be impossible.
That's the thing about general purpose computers:
One computer can be programmed to work like another,
and hardware can be built to interface new computers
with old peripherals.
