That sounds like something they would teach you in law school

I am neither wealthy nor a public defender.

This is a very personal attack. And I see these happening with increasing frequency and virulence here. This used to be a good place to go to get reasoned, if vigorous, discussions. It was also helpful when I was asked by my law firm about possible defenses should a client be sued by SCO, because that client used Linux in a lot of their systems.

But now, all that happens is that people shout you down with personal attacks and gleeful hatred due to prejudices that sound more appropos of religious fundamentalism. I don't need to be subjected to this sort of trash, and it isn't going to help you convince many people who might otherwise listen to your arguments. And make no mistake about it - people who listen tend to learn things, even if they don't agree with you. But when you turn them off, they don't listen. And why should they, if you have nothing useful to say?

So I'm gone for good, and as of this moment, I'm permanently removing all bookmarks to Groklaw from my browsers - including on my own Scientific Linux laptop. Good riddance, all.
