Not that I have any idea where Mars' methane came from, but hydrocarbons are
pretty plentiful in space. So I would be wary of assuming methane means
anything. Look at the gas giants, Saturn Uranus and Neptune ... isn't a large
percent of their *total* mass comprised of methane?

From my studies (watching Futurama), space cows are on Mars.
