U.N. calls for 'anti-terror' Internet surveillance
Authored by: Anonymous on Wednesday, October 24 2012 @ 03:28 PM EDT
The ordinary citizen has more to fear from banking trojans, or being snared in a botnet. So-called terrorists are already using advanced crypto and tor. The worst activity is more likely to be at an intergovernmental level, and Stuxnet and Flame are in the "enemy's" hands. The UN is dealing with last century's internet. See also Mikko Hypponen's latest explanation.

The MPAA is behind this

Once all the infrastructure is in place for monitoring everybody on the
internet it will be so much easier to go after copyright violations.

U.N. calls for 'anti-terror' Internet surveillance

The UN is a hotbed of corruption and nepotism, and founded on hypocrisy. Its
human rights council is represented by the
countries that are the worst human rights abusers, it
repeatedly breaks its own rules and mandates, and it is
accountable to no one.

It is the last organisation we should allow to snoop on us.
