In a perfect world, people would wonder why they are writting things that nobody'll read

But, of course, we don't live in a perfect world, thus we'll keep using
"productivity" packages, that includes a text processor, to create
documents that nobody'll read*, a presentation system, to make it easiser to
talk about something nobody is interested into**, and a couple of simplified***
programming environments.

* If you wanted people to read it, you'd write HTML.
** If people were interested on it, you wouldn't need to present, you could just
jump to the discussion and be much more productive.
*** But still too complex to create good sotware in them.
