Does that mean they will sell twice as many?

As it may appeal to two types of user, I wonder....

I really don't like Unity either. Love Lubuntu (or LXDE on various distro better than anything else).

Problem with Nexus 7 is that there is NO HDMI, and Google's new version of their Android OS does not "seem" to support USB Host at all. Why? Or, rather, why not?

So, absent the HDMI, still am not interested. They really should have had a drop into a dock station HDMI (for TV or modern monitors) with a power charger AND microphone/video camera port AND Extra USB HOST port(s) micro and full sized, built into the docking station.

I would love to see a Lubuntu version for Archos 80 G9, that used all ports as full hosting (Archos uses 3G port but does not give users option for use as full USB hosting port at all). Can use a USB hub to then use external USB keyboard and mouse, but can't hook up USB data to that hub at all, even if the hub is powered - yet, can hook up USB date to the 3G port alone, with no hub (very strange). However, the resolution is 1024x768, and if we used LINUX on it, might be able to use Xrandr to increase the resolution. With this type of command that can be used on 1024x600 netbook screens (but need to fix mouse pointer that gets jailed into the old resolution with a patch):

$ xrandr --output LVDS1 --mode 1024x576 --scale 1.25x1.25
or xrandr --output LVDS1 --mode 1024x600 --scale 1.25x1.25
(depends on original resolution of your netbook)!
did the trick to increase the native resolution of my netbook running Ubuntu 10.10 from 1024x576 to 1280x720.
BUT, Linux team needs to fix xorg or something to get that patch as part of LINUX where the mouse does not end up in a jail, needing a patch - as at one time it worked without a patch, but when Linux team upgraded video section, they forgot to put the patch into the stew, and even with postings on the list, still have not paid attention to do it (again, would allow lower resolution devices to appear to be higher resolution, and would SAVE battery power using this trick).

Here is an idea... those Android sticks, what about having a 7 inch, or 10.1 inch, could be Pixel Qi or what ever buyer wants, that is JUST A SCREEN DEVICE (with AA battery), that then you have a slot that you dock EITHER an ARM CPU stick (android) or a xcore-X86++ stick into, can use BOTH by just plugging them in and can switch... ALSO then be able to plug the same stick into a full size HDMI monitor OR a TV? What the touch screen or not screen is full at the option of the user to match then to the use.

If, the screen is 1024x600 then use Xrandr to get to higher resolution. NOTE that this scaling does not seem to make the screen images less viewable (or lower quality) for small devices.
