To me this seems like Twin Peaks is pleading ignorance
or stupidity.

Does pleading ignorance or stupidity actually work?

Yep -- it sounds as if they failed in "due diligence" prior to using
someone else's code...

And, hire a lawyer who understands the GPL(what is the current law firm's knowlege of GPL)?
Authored by: Anonymous on Wednesday, October 17 2012 @ 02:45 PM EDT
Wow, a lot of effort and legal cost in this (when the GPL has been tested).

So, this leaves the spectator wondering about the degree of computer
knowledge and GPL (or other FOSS licenses) that the lawyer or legal firm
handling this has?

Or, billable hours? Who will pay the bill? If they get ruled against, will
a
judge then make them, or their law firm, to pay the other parties legal bill?

Apple tries to patent Bluetooth
Authored by: IMANAL_TOO on Thursday, October 18 2012 @ 12:42 AM EDT
Apple tries to patent Bluetooth. Yes, they are that silly. Tinfoil Jobs fog lives on.

I can hear the Apple executives say - "Yeah we found it first. It took some serious googling, but in the end, there it was. We had some of our staff look it up in the patent office and they found nothing."

Yet another Apple patent day.

Don't forget that.
