I believe the mount program included in the software from TP is an unmodified
version of the mount program shipped with RH. The binaries are identical IIRC.

Perhaps I am more confused than usual (which happens roughly half the time), but if they want to know the provenance of the work they need only search for changes to mount here

Red Hat works in the open, and their developers work with the kernel folks quite closely. There should not be any mystery as to where mount comes from? Again, it is likely that I do not really understand what the issues are. The legal stuff is something I do not fully understand.
