I thought the discussion of the "Software is math" slogan is
independent of
whether software should be patentable or not. (Which is why it is too general
and
not a useful viewpoint or interesting opinion)[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

The thing is what does the software do? Does it anticipate malfunctions of the
hardware? Is it robustly designed? Is some software better than others in this
respect? Is some software useless because it is unreliable just when it is
needed
most?
