A confused asks "What's the Point"?
Authored by: Anonymous on Monday, October 15 2012 @ 12:06 PM EDT
Do you know the difference between the map and what it describes?
A machine can be described by mathematics, but mathematics cannot do the work of
the machine.
The work of software is the mathematics. Software is mathematics, it is not
described by mathematics.
You cannot differentiate the software from the mathematics.

The point is: Education - Resisting those who would enslave
Authored by: Anonymous on Monday, October 15 2012 @ 02:10 PM EDT

Those "educating" everyone on why Software Patents should be don't rest. And as a result, those of us fighting them can have no rest.

And if all Congress hears about is why Software Patents should exist - then it's almost a certainty that they will.

And so those of us who fight against Software being Patented must keep standing up to those who fight for Software being Patented.

The point should be pretty easy to grasp now: Some of us feel allowing Software to be Patented to bring no good to the market and only harm. We can either lay down and let the dreams of riches within certain proponents run over us or we can stand up and avoid being run down.

I choose to stand against someone attempting to enslave me. Even if it is only intellectual slavery.
