Vaguely reminiscent of the Mckinnon case reported above, is
a breaking story from New Zealand. Short version:
budget constraints force in-house development of public kiosk
computers; which end up on the same physical and virtual network
as main departmental systems; and default privileges allow reading
of a slew of non-public data.
