Well, hopefully you don't have teams of lawyers trying to convince you to make
errors. :D
In theory, if something made it to court, it shouldn't be obvious which side
should win. Both sides normally think they are right and will do their best to
win. Naturally that makes things challenging for the judge. In this case, both
sides had many lawyers and were fighting very hard, so it would have been harder
to stay on top of things than normal. That said, I think Judge Alsup, for
example, probably would have done a better job of keeping control of things than
Judge Koh did, but I also suspect that he an unusually sharp and experienced
judge.
IIRC, PJ once made the point that it doesn't bother judges when they are
