Linux Foundation to offer signed solution for UEFI Secure Boot conundrum

Well, the simple solution is to turn off the restrictions in your BIOS.

Unless you're using a Microsoft-certified ARM processor, in which case I have to
quewstion your sanity.

That's DE9. There's no such thing as a "DB9".

Serial Terminals
Authored by: Anonymous on Saturday, October 13 2012 @ 05:55 AM EDT
I don't know about equipment that is *designed* to be used as servers, but as
for consumer grade equipment, good luck finding computers with serial ports.
Even five years ago they had pretty much vanished.

On a computer I purchased nearly 6 years ago, the kernel says it sees a 16550A
but it does not come out to an external connector. I have a vague recollection
that I looked into the situation and concluded that there was probably a
connector on the MB that could be used for hooking up an appropriate connector.
But I never pursued it.
