All she needs to do if follow her court procedural requirements. The fallout is
unlikely to effect her at all unless she can be shown to have been negligent to
those procedures. Even poor judgement on her part will likely get the blind
eye.
The system anticipates judicial errors and has put an appeals process in place
to address those errors. The only thing she needs to do is "wear her
wig" and push the paperwork through.
As an analogy, criminal judges and/or prosecutors don't have to answer for
sentencing someone to death row where that sentence is overturned during appeal.
The idea is to let the system do its grinding. Judge Lucy Koh is just another
part of the grinder. The only way she gets effected officially is if she is
