Serial Killers tend to perform quite well too

But that doesn't mean they have earned respect from the Civilized Peoples of the world.

I think they did an amazing job

David Boies did great in the Microsoft antitrust case, but seems to have done
nothing but take losing cases since (realistically, he lost the Microsoft case,
too).

This case should have been a slam-dunk for Novell, but the judge was remarkably
biased to hear it. I expect the trial to be swift and decisive for Novell.
This should be a gimme for BS&F.

The fix may be in

Boies Schiller is at least 'ethically challenged'. A more ethical law firm would have advised SCO at the outset that it had no viable case, and would have refused to represent it and withdrawn when SCO chose to file a lawsuit against IBM over Linux anyway.

It was amazing, but to me not a bit admirable.

And they kept fighting even after the money ran out

I have to be honest, if I had an immoral, baseless case that I wanted to fight
even though every sane, independent commentator saw no merit in it, I'd give
them a try.

I saw Stuart Singer in the flesh

And as I said at the time, he did amazingly well with absolutely nothing and I
would love to see him with some actual facts to argue.

I don't think anyone should harbour any personal animosity towards the lawyers
(I might reserve judgement on a number of the executives of SCO though).

As my lawyer put it to me -- In the old days you would go out with pistols at
dawn. These days your Lawyer is the one that does the shooting for you and it
often doesn't matter too much in the end who was actually right.

I think the real villains in this story are those in the bankruptcy process.

That's not a law suit. *THIS* is a law suit!
